Instagram for OKAL Haus

OKAL Haus is a prefabricated house manufacturer in Germany. We were presented with the challenge of creating an Instagram that fit with the autonomy of the company but still met preexisting corporate requirements. Combining a B2B and B2C approach to their internet presence, we presented OKAL's products and partners as eco-friendly and premium companies in the industry.

As the visual designer, I created a series of iconography, interrupters, and illustrations for blog postings, giveaways, products. We strived for a 360 approach, presenting print and press when applicable. Through observation and experimentation, we familiarized ourselves with OKAL customers needs and wants via reactions and website visits. Target groups reacted the most to outside photographs of modern home architecture, carousels of interiors, polls, and videos.
IllustrationsIllustrations were used for Freunde des Hauses, a blog dealing with the home, and incited company values surrounding children and family.

InterruptersInterrupters were created as a way to organize the Instagram spread through the use of font and forms laid over photographic material.

Motion graphics Overview
Short videos and gifs were used to present interior trends and added to Pinterest as a way to gather followers. I created them with either Adobe After Effects or Adobe Photoshop depending on the visual content.
Stories
Icons were further developed and designed from already existing print mediums for the web use. New designs followed OKAL corporate manual guidelines.

Story Videos contained information about upcoming OKAL Haus events, the team, customer product polling, giveaways, building sites, and home tours.
