Design your frixion posts
— IMPACT AGENTUR FÜR KOMMUNIKATION, JUNIOR ART DIRECTOR
Together with the Senior Art Direction, I created a series of patterns for the Design your FriXion campaign. With our master designs, customers could use an online customization platform to individually design their own copy — they could even change color combinations.
After researching trends for the year ahead, we selected a few — creating dozens of master pages for each design and pen type. According to the manufacturer, more than 5,000 product stickers were designed for that year with the campaign. It was a 10% increase from previous years. Combined with influencers, media presence and engagement from the marketing and PR team, we tripled the number of hits on the promotion page.
Pilot Frixion Psycho test
The Pilot FriXion Psycho Test assisted the #backtoschool campaign and promotion page. My job included the UX & UI extension of the website. I created the SVG button and the look and feel of the user interface for test. Character designs were developed out of research gathered from teachers or marketing tools about German students.
Character Designs
The character names were combined with personality traits and colors. Although using the pens were a prerequisite, I was able to link FriXion product characteristics to the character personality, bringing more meaning to the idea and overall concept.
The TrendsetterThe FriXion Trend Light, is a text marker to the core. She’s always up-to-date on the most interesting celebrity gossip and newest fashion.
Light blue’s gentle appearance means it is particularly likely to make an impression, is often linked with youth, and is the most popular color according to European surveys. |
The CheckerFavorite subject? He doesn't really have one. He is the coolest guy in school, coupled with a great attitude. His light-heartedness makes him the perfect candidate for the FriXion Light. He brings good vibes where ever he goes.
Yellow is often considered the most energizing of the warm colors and is often associated with happiness. |
The Minen GangThe Minen Gang is never alone. They sit out the most boring classes together and often confuse their teachers because they look alike. The stylish friends stay together like the FriXion Minen Pack.
They are represented by the color pink because it symbolizes love, kindness, and sensitivity. |
The EngagedPart of the student body, volunteer at the animal shelter, and most likely vegan. They know the problems of the world and want to fix it. We know they are designing their next poster for Fridays for Future with FriXion Colors.
They are the color green because it represents new beginnings, renewal, abundance and growth. |
The ClownThe FriXion Clicker is the only pen in the FriXion line that seems to be upside-down, and this character has his own way of looking at the world. This one can certainly draw attention and will never miss an opportunity to make you laugh.
Orange is associated with fun, activity, enthusiasm, independence, and excitement. |
